The three kinds of suspension — your account, one server, or an unpaid plan — what the panel shows for each, the rules behind them from the Acceptable Use Policy, and how to fix it or appeal.
"Suspended" can mean three different things on Falix, and the fix is different for each: an account suspension locks you out of the panel entirely, a server notice or suspension affects one server and usually comes with a deadline to fix something, and a billing suspension means a plan wasn't paid. This guide tells them apart, shows what you'll see, and walks you to the right next step — an appeal, a fix, or a payment.
| At a glance | |
|---|---|
| Account suspended | Signing in lands on the Suspension page; every server is stopped; appeal there |
| Server notice / suspension | A banner on that server; open its Notice page, fix it or say it's a mistake |
| Billing suspension | A banner on the server's Console; fix it in Billing |
| The rules | User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy |
| You see | It's a… | Who can act |
|---|---|---|
| "Your account is suspended" right after signing in; nothing else in the panel opens | Account suspension | You, on that page |
| "Fix it by date to avoid suspension — View notice" on one server, or "This server is suspended. The notice explains why and what to do." | Server notice / suspension | The server's owner |
| "Server Suspended — Payment Failed / Outstanding Balance / Subscription Expired" on the Console | Billing suspension | The server's owner, in Billing |
| "Suspended" on a server in your list, and you're a sub-user | Any of the above | The owner — sub-users see "Only its owner can reactivate it" |
When your account is suspended, signing in still works, but it takes you to the Suspension page and nowhere else. The page says: "Your servers are stopped and can't be started while your account is suspended." Under Why it shows the reason in plain words, a case number with the date the case was opened, and — if there was one — the earlier notice you received before the suspension.
Two things still work from that page:
Nothing else does: no console, no files, no tickets. If the page shows only a general message with no reason and no appeal form, the details couldn't be loaded — try again a little later.
Most policy problems start with a notice on one server, not with an account suspension. You'll see a banner on that server's pages — "Fix it by date to avoid suspension" — with a View notice link that opens the server's Notice page:
| On the Notice page | |
|---|---|
| What we saw | The behaviour that triggered the notice, in plain terms |
| How to fix it | The steps to take. The page notes that this often comes from a package or script you didn't write |
| Fix by | The deadline, with a countdown |
| Messages | The conversation on the case — yours and Falix's |
| I fixed it | Tell us what you changed; the server is checked and the restriction lifted once it's clean |
| I think this is a mistake | An appeal; a person reads it, usually within 48 hours |
Statuses go open → "Fix sent, we're checking it" / "Appeal sent, a person will reply" → Resolved. Only the owner can reply; sub-users are told to ask the owner.
If the deadline passes, or the problem is serious enough, the server is suspended: it can't start, and the Console says so with a View notice button. Your files stay downloadable — the Console banner says "You can still download your files and backups" with a Download files button — so a suspended server is never a lost server.
💡 Tip: Read the notice before touching anything. "What we saw" tells you which file or process is the problem; the usual culprits are a plugin, script or package you installed without reading, not your own code. Fix that one thing, press I fixed it, and say what you changed.
An unpaid plan suspends the servers on it. The Console banner names which case you're in and the button takes you to the right place:
| Banner | What happened | Button |
|---|---|---|
| Payment Failed | A renewal couldn't be charged after several attempts | Update payment method |
| Outstanding Balance | An amount has been owed since a date and hasn't been paid | Pay balance |
| Subscription Expired | The plan lapsed | Renew server |
The panel also shows an Outstanding balance notice while anything is owed. The User Agreement sets the timeline: failed payments are retried, and if payment remains unsuccessful after 7 days the service is suspended. Paying reactivates it; the details of retries, dunning emails and what happens to a suspended server over time are in Payment problems.
There's no appeal for a billing suspension — there's a payment. If you think the charge itself is wrong, that's a support ticket in Billing & plans.
Suspensions for conduct come from the Acceptable Use Policy, which the User Agreement makes part of your contract. The headline rules:
| Rule | In short |
|---|---|
| Illegal activities | No fraud, no unauthorised access to other systems, no illegal material |
| Harmful activities | No malware, no DoS/DDoS or hacking attempts — from your server or at it |
| Intellectual property | No distributing copyrighted material you don't have rights to |
| Unsolicited communications | No spam, nothing that gets Falix's addresses blacklisted |
| VPN & proxy services | Free servers may not relay other people's traffic. Using a tunnel to make your own server reachable is fine |
| Resource usage & fair use | Don't degrade the service for others; don't use a server purely as file storage (use backups for that) |
| Minecraft-specific | Follow Mojang's EULA; no prohibited content; server modifications within the rules |
| Security & content | Keep your account secure; content restrictions apply |
On the free plan, add the fair-use rules the panel already tells you about: plugins that fake player counts are not allowed, and keeping a server "busy" with fake or idle activity to hold onto free resources counts as abuse.
How enforcement works, per the policy's Enforcement section: depending on severity Falix may warn you, block the offending content, or suspend or terminate the account. In practice that's the notice-with-a-deadline for most cases and an immediate suspension for the serious ones. Falix doesn't publish how problems are detected — only what the rules are.
🎯 Good to know: Rules that protect other people — outbound attacks, scanning, phishing, malware, spam — apply on every plan. Rules about free resources (VPN relays, fake activity) are about the free plan.
