What a premium server costs and why, how billing cycles and their discounts work, where account credit and gift cards fit in, which payment methods you can use, and a tour of the Billing page.
Premium on Falix is one subscription per account with any number of servers inside it. Each server is priced on the RAM and CPU you give it, renews on its own schedule, and can be resized, switched to a cheaper cycle, paused or cancelled from one page. This guide explains the model so nothing on an invoice ever surprises you.
| At a glance | |

| Plan | the free plan has nothing to pay; everything here is about premium servers |
A premium server's price has two parts: a rate per GB of RAM per month plus a rate per CPU core per month. Pick 4 GB and 2 cores and you pay four RAM units and two CPU units; nothing else changes the price. Disk is unmetered (fair use applies) and every location costs the same.
Prices are shown including VAT where it applies, so the number at checkout is the number on your card statement. The checkout shows the exact price for any size you drag the sliders to, from 512 MB to 128 GB of RAM and 1 to 32 cores.
You can see prices in seven currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, CHF and NZD. The checkout picks one from your billing country (US dollars, pounds, Australian or Canadian dollars, Swiss francs or New Zealand dollars for those countries, euros everywhere else) and a Show prices in selector lets you change it. Your first purchase fixes the currency for your subscription: credit, prices and invoices all stay in it afterwards.
🎯 Good to know: Resizing a server later re-prices it at the current rates. If Falix ever changes its prices, the User Agreement promises at least 30 days' notice, and a prepaid longer cycle keeps its price until that cycle ends.
Every server has its own billing cycle. Longer cycles are paid up front and cost less per month:
| Cycle | Discount | How it bills |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | none | the full monthly price every month |
| 3 Months | 10% off | three months at once |
| 6 Months | 15% off | six months at once |
| Annual | 20% off | twelve months at once |
The discounts apply at checkout and at every renewal of that cycle. You can change a server's cycle any time from the Billing page; the unused part of the current cycle is credited against the new one, which Change resources or billing cycle walks through.
A subscription renews automatically on the renewal date, not in advance, by charging your saved payment method. You are not asked to approve each renewal, so cancel at least 24 hours before the date if you do not want the next period (see Cancel a server and refunds).
Your renewal day is anchored on the day of the month you first paid; in shorter months it falls on the last day. Each server shows its own Next charge date on the Billing page, and the summary at the top shows the next date and amount across all of them. Every successful charge produces an invoice and a receipt email.
If a charge fails, your servers keep running at first and the panel walks you through fixing it. Payment problems has the exact timeline.
Change something mid-cycle and you only pay for the days involved. An upgrade charges the price difference for the days left in the current cycle and takes effect immediately. A downgrade credits the difference for the remaining days to your account and takes effect immediately as well. Deleting a premium server mid-cycle credits its unused days. The details, with what each one looks like on your invoices, are in Change resources or billing cycle.
Your Credit balance is money on your account, in your subscription's currency. It builds up from:
Credit is spent automatically on your next charge, before your card is touched: renewals, upgrades and new servers all take it first. If it covers the whole amount, nothing is charged. Two things to know: credit is not paid out as cash, and changing a billing cycle does not spend credit (the switch is paid on its own and your credit stays for renewals).
Billing → Gift Cards (/billing/gift-cards) sells gift cards you can send to someone or use to top up your own account. Pick a preset or any amount between 5 and 500 in your currency, optionally add a recipient email, a personal message (up to 280 characters) and the email language, and pay. The code arrives by email; without a recipient address it comes to you.
Redeeming is the Redeem tab on the same page (or /billing/gift-cards/redeem): enter the 16-character code and the credit lands on your account immediately. A card bought in another currency is converted into your account's currency when redeemed. Gift cards are sold without VAT (tax applies when the credit is spent on a service), they cannot be refunded, and the code has no expiry date.
Three gateways are available at checkout and on the Billing page, and you can switch between them any time:
| Option at checkout | Provider | What it covers | How it works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card | Revolut | debit and credit cards | a secure pop-up on the page; the card is saved for renewals |
| Wallets and local methods | Stripe | Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Pix, BLIK, Samsung Pay, Cartes Bancaires, Bancontact, Przelewy24, EPS, Multibanco, Satispay, Payco, Naver Pay, MobilePay, MB WAY, Kakao Pay, Korean cards and Sofort, plus cards | you finish on Stripe's secure page and come back |
| PayPal | PayPal | your PayPal balance or linked cards | PayPal opens in a secure window and stays linked for renewals |
Whatever you pay with is saved as your payment method, so renewals, upgrades and extra servers need no re-entry. The Payment method card on the Billing page shows the saved card brand and last four digits (or your PayPal email) and lets you update or switch it. Updating a card is covered step by step in Payment problems.
⚠️ Heads up: Keep the saved method valid. An expired or cancelled card is the most common reason a renewal fails, and the User Agreement makes keeping payment details current your responsibility.
Open Billing from the account menu. From top to bottom:
| Section | What it shows and does |
|---|---|
| Summary cards | Next charge (date and amount), Credit balance, Monthly spend across all servers, and a Status card that only appears when something needs attention (Past Due, Suspended, On vacation, Manual Renewal) |
| Notices | banners for a failed payment, an unpaid balance, servers scheduled for cancellation, or a cancelled subscription, each with its fix button |
| Payment method | your saved card or PayPal, gateway buttons to switch provider, Update card / Add card |
| Billing details | country and ZIP code, the VAT rate applied, company name and VAT number with a Verified badge, and Edit billing details |
| Vacation mode | pause billing and archive your servers while you are away (see Cancel a server and refunds) |
| My servers | one row per premium server: resources, price per cycle, next charge, status, and the actions Change Cycle, Cancel Server, Undo Cancellation, Renew Server or Retry Payment depending on its state |
| Invoices | every invoice and credit note with a View button, newest first, with Load more |
The gift card page is linked from the same menu.
💡 Tip: Most day-to-day questions are answered by the server row: the price chip tells you the cycle (
/mo,/3mo,/6mo,/12mo), the next-charge column tells you when, and the status badge tells you whether anything is wrong.
