How to cancel a premium server and what happens to it afterwards, how to undo a cancellation, the alternatives (vacation mode, downgrading, deleting), and the 14-day refund terms with the self-service way to claim them.
Cancelling is self-service and reversible right up to the last day of the period you paid for. Refunds are narrower: a 14-day money-back window on your first payment, claimed from the invoice itself. This guide covers both, plus the three options that are usually better than cancelling.
| At a glance | |
|---|---|
| Where | Billing → My servers → Cancel Server; refunds from Billing → Invoices → View |
| Takes effect | at the end of the current billing period, never immediately |
| Refund window | 14 days from your first payment, first charge only |
| The rules | the User Agreement, section "Billing, Cancellation & Refunds" |
Back up anything you want to keep before the end date: the Backups page can download a full snapshot.
Cancellation always takes effect at the end of the paid period; there is no immediate cancellation and no refund of unused days. To stop the next renewal, submit the cancellation at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Both rules come from the User Agreement.
Press Undo Cancellation on the row any time before the end date. The server returns to Active and renews on its usual date as if nothing happened. You can cancel and undo as often as you like within the period.
⚠️ Heads up: Deleting a server from its Settings → Danger tab is a different action: it is immediate and permanent, and the unused days of its cycle come back as credit. Cancelling keeps the server until the end date; deleting removes it now.
| You want to… | Use | Money |
|---|---|---|
| step away for a while | Vacation mode (below) | billing pauses; free for 30 days |
| pay less | Downgrade in Settings → Operations, see Change resources or billing cycle | unused days become credit |
| move to another location | Transfer Server in Settings → Operations, see Transfer your server | same plan, nothing to cancel |
| a different game or a fresh start | Delete the server and create a new one | unused days become credit for the new order |
| stop paying, keep nothing | Cancel Server | runs to the end of the period |
The Vacation mode strip on the Billing page pauses billing for your whole subscription while you are away:
Billing resumes automatically on the return date, or earlier when you press End vacation; then press Start on a server to restore it. Vacation mode needs an active subscription with no unpaid balance, no renewal due at that moment and nothing scheduled for cancellation.
The terms, in the User Agreement's words: a 14-day refund period for qualifying purchases, refund requests for recurring payments are not possible, and chargebacks must not be started without contacting Falix first.
In practice:
| What qualifies | the first charge on your subscription (your first server purchase or first in-place upgrade), within 14 days of that payment |
| What does not | renewals and any later charge, anything after day 14, gift cards, and a first purchase that has already returned credit to you (a downgrade or cycle switch) |
| Partial refunds | not available self-service |
| What a refund does | cancels all premium servers on the account immediately, permanently deletes their data, ends the subscription and returns the amount to the original payment method |
| How long it takes | typically 3–10 business days to appear, depending on your provider |
If the first payment also settled an older unpaid balance, only the server part is refunded; the balance paid an earlier invoice.
🎯 Good to know: Because a refund wipes every premium server, it is the wrong tool for "I want a smaller server" or "I picked the wrong location". Downgrading, deleting one server, or transferring it keeps everything else running and turns the difference into credit.
You get a "your refund has been processed" email and a credit note on the Billing page. If the button is missing or the request is refused with a message about reconciliation, open a ticket and quote the invoice number, see Support tickets.
Always open a ticket before disputing a charge with your bank or PayPal. The User Agreement treats an unauthorised chargeback as grounds for account termination plus a fee, and a ticket resolves genuine mistakes faster than a dispute does.
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| No Request Refund button | You are past 14 days, this is not your first charge, or the purchase already returned credit. Outside the self-service rules, the only path is a ticket. |
| Cancel Server is missing | Suspended-for-non-payment servers show Retry Payment and Cancel Server together; a server already cancelling shows Undo Cancellation instead. |
| Cancelled, but still charged | The renewal ran before the cancellation (the 24-hour rule). The cancellation now applies to the new period's end. |
| Need the files after the end date | The server was switched off at the end of the period; press Renew Server while the row is still listed, otherwise the data is gone. |
| Want to leave entirely | See Delete your account; cancel or let servers run out first. |
