Search & Install Minecraft Plugins

How do I install plugins?
Go to the Plugins page, search by name, and click Install on the version you want. Plugins are placed in your server's /plugins folder. After installing, restart your server or run /reload confirm in the console to load them. You can search across SpigotMC, Modrinth, CurseForge, and Hangar using the source selector next to the search bar. Read the full guide →
What plugins are recommended for new servers?
EssentialsX for basic commands (homes, warps, kits), LuckPerms for permissions management, Vault for economy integration, WorldGuard for region protection, and GriefPrevention for anti-grief. These form a solid foundation for most survival and community servers.
How do I filter and search for plugins?
Use the search bar to find plugins by name, and pick a source (SpigotMC, Modrinth, CurseForge, or Hangar) from the dropdown beside it. Open Advanced Filters to sort by Relevance, Downloads, Follows, Newest, or Recently Updated, and to filter by category and game version (extra filters such as Featured Only and Open Source Only apply on Modrinth). Toggle between Card View and List View, and use the pagination controls to move between pages.
How do I view plugin details before installing?
Click any plugin to open its detail view. The Overview tab shows the full description, stats, and external links, the Gallery tab displays screenshots, and the Versions tab lists releases you can install directly, filterable by game version and release type. Always pick a version that matches your server's Minecraft version.
Are there plugin restrictions on the free plan?
Free servers can browse all four sources, but a small set of plugins is hidden because they are server-intensive or commonly abused. The filter matches the plugin name and covers things like fake-player and player-count tools, server-list and MOTD manipulators, chunk pre-generation tools (for example Chunky and ChunkMaster), and heavy scripting engines (such as Denizen and PySpigot). Premium servers see the full, unfiltered library.
How do I manage installed plugins?
Visit the My Addons page to see all currently installed plugins. You can view details, check for updates matched against Modrinth, disable/enable them, and delete ones you no longer need. After removing or updating plugins, restart your server for changes to take effect. A plugin built for one Minecraft version may not work on another.
