How do I set up a free subdomain?
Open the Network page (Domains tab), click Add, choose a Falix subdomain, type a name, pick a suffix, and create it. The page shows a usage bar with how many you have used out of your limit, and you can have up to 3 Falix subdomains.
What domain suffixes can I choose?
The available Falix suffixes are falixsrv.me, falix.gg, falix.me, falix.dev, falix.app, and falix.pro, with falixsrv.me as the default. The exact list is shown in the suffix dropdown when you create a subdomain.
What are the rules for subdomain names?
A name uses lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, must start and end with a letter or number, and cannot contain two hyphens in a row. Names that look like an IP address are rejected, and each name must be unique across Falix — if it is already taken you will be told to pick another.
Can I use my own custom domain?
Yes. Click Add and choose a custom domain (for example play.example.com). Falix shows two nameservers assigned to you (in the form nsX.falixnodes.net); set your domain's nameservers to those two at your registrar, then click Verify. DNS changes can take from a few minutes up to 48 hours to propagate. You can add several custom domains (a small per-account limit applies).
What are A and SRV records, and do I create them?
You do not create them — Falix sets up the A record (pointing your domain to the server IP) and the SRV record (_minecraft._tcp, which tells Minecraft the port) for you when the domain is added. The SRV record means players can connect with just your domain, e.g. play.example.com, instead of needing ip:port. The address only goes live once verification succeeds.
How do I change my primary subdomain?
Click Make Primary on any other subdomain (or verified custom domain) to promote it; the old primary becomes a secondary. The primary is the address shown across your server pages. You can also edit a subdomain to change its name or suffix, or delete ones you no longer need. See our knowledge base for more.
